Although cosplay is a wonderful hobby, there are times it can bring not only joy, but also stress, anger and frustration.

Probably almost everyone has already experienced a situation where cosplay just didn't feel fun. There are several reasons why it can happen and we tried to collect them for one simple reason:
Your hobby is not supposed to give you tons of negative emotions. On the contrary, we all are doing it for fun and should never forget it.

So these are a few pieces of advice how to stay positive and enjoy cosplay :3

I agree!! I usually get discouraged because I'm a new cosplayer and I've done a few already, but just simple stuff like Near from Death Note. I recently finished Nero from Devil May Cry 4, and I always keep telling myself that I'm not a good cosplayer. I feel jealousy when I see other cosplayers with better cosplays. I mainly feel jealous because of the age; most of my favourite cosplayers are in their 20s and I'm 15. I'm getting better because I'm learning now how to sew ever since I joined a cosplay group :D I'm so much happier with my cosplays now! ^^ and the time and effort is TOTALLY worth it! <3

15 really is a young age! You'll have plenty of time to improve, lots of things need a great amount of practice. So don't get discouraged! :) And have fun!

^^ I'm not :D I get help from my fellow cosplay friends and my friends at school who can already sew :D but I'm pretty good with makeup and choosing wig colours and base colours for cosplay :D

when you get in 20's youll probably want to look like 15's when you want to cosplay 20's below. :)im in mid 20's and its hard for me to cosplay 15yrs old characters XD

It'll be very hard for me when I'm in my 20s, mainly because I already look like I'm about 18 already xDDD some people have taken me for 20 before, so I tend to cosplay males that look to be very old ^^' I've got that face that could be a male or female face. But my hair is long enough to where you know I'm a girl
